Stumbled upon a Construction Ship which just couldn't decide on its orders. 😆
Wow... even the Egalitarians and the Xenophiles aren't supporting
Ban Organic Slave Trade with me... only my vassals, who would otherwise oppose. Even the Vetirisian Trading Coalition are abstaining and this is their own proposal!! What!!!
Some members of the Federation I'm in temporarily usurped my position as President by summoning dimensional fleets to inflate their fleet power. When they downscaled their fleets later (I assume their economies can't sustain it since their Naval Capacity is lower) and I regained presidency, I find out that apparently they trapped all the ships in an isolated system with no hyperlanes. Nice one guys...
This is how I found out that I can actually engage Emergency FTL outside of combat (by pressing the Return command without any valid path).
The amount of support the AI empires are giving me is starting to concern me. I proposed
Galactic Defense Force a few days before the Senate moved to session just to expend some Influence, and within those few days it apparently got enough support to jump to the top of the queue and move to the Senate Floor. That was for a resolution that supposedly had "Weak Support".
No opponents... exactly as planned! Woohoo!
What? That is NOT Earth... Is this a mistake?
Come on, Covenant of Scodd, make up your mind!! This was even during a truce period after they ended association status the last time...
spam newsletters if you remove everything of no substance:
In #Stellaris a hivemind from the other side of the galaxy just developed FTL, established an empire, and not even a couple seconds/ingame days later got destroyed. Too bad for them...
Why does Nix appear to be built from source on MacOS when running nix shell home-manager/master but not when running nix shell home-manager/release-24.11?
That's a lot of memory...
when you can't be bothered to make up a new name
Check out Kib & Bigg: Outside of the Box (YouTube/Newgrounds), an animated short film by Spicy Coffee and OctoNote!!
what if rem comments are commands that occur in the computer's dreams in the REM sleep phase
Geez, the number five is looking kinda weird...
Yesterday, I played Mission Control: Critical Orbit for the first time with 3 players (including myself). It was really difficult! We misunderstood the win condition; we thought the Houston III player needed to connect all the canisters and obtain enough oxygen along the pipes, but you can actually win by getting enough oxygen without connecting every canister.
I hate it when the people fight each other instead of the REAL evil people. Like poverty!! and Social stuff!!!!!
Look at them!!! Hunger is going to strike and they will NOT be ready...

Fedi instance administration, sad
Fedi instance administration, sad
Another instance I was using, shuttered without warning.
I'm tired of abruptly and irrecoverably losing whole friend circles and all the fun I had talking on it.
If you run an instance and are planning to shutter it, please be kind and:
- Give clear warnings about it both well ahead of time and repeat those warnings regularly until final shutdown;
- Don't give warnings exclusively from accounts that aren't on the actual server;
- Make use of the Announcements feature where available; and
- Disable signups at the planning stage so that new users aren't onboarded onto a doomed instance.
I understand that running an instance is a significant undertaking which comes at real monetary cost, and that instances are operated out of the good will of the administrators, but please try to offer these kindnesses to mitigate the emotional impact on your users from the shutdown.
