Jomar Milan @jomarm@jomarm.com

I'm a high school junior from the United States who enjoys technology, reading, and writing. I'm also interested in other creative pursuits such as pixel art, 3D art, digital art, and animation. I enjoy listening to music by Thomas Bergersen and DM DOKURO, as well as several other artists.

The allure of open source software and being responsible for my own services attracts me, though I generally trust large corporations to be able to provide a more stable and attack-resistant service than I can provide myself. When I move to self-managed options, it is typically for the joy of doing so rather than any ideological reasons, though I tend to agree with some of the typical ideological reasons for moving away from large corporations' services.

I helped a Pre-FTL society become spacefaring by sharing technology. I was really excited when I saw that they began their journey as a spacefaring society. I was less excited when I saw control of their home system was ceded to them. I hoped it would be fine, but then they annexed my colony in the same system. Come on!! Why couldn't we just have coexisted in the same system? What about my people??? The nerve!!

@jomarm I've been through the same. Sadly the game doesn't allow shared/split solar systems. It's a minor thing in the grand scheme of the game, but it would encourage working with pre-FTL species a lot more without forcing the choice of integration.
